Academic B.S. in Mechanical Engineering - Loyola Marymount University - 1950. M.B.A. - Pepperdine University - Malibu. Career Fifty successful years in industrial management positions in  companies producing products ranging from  soap dishes to satelites.  Fifty successful years in various service organizations whose services range from youth sports to the total eradication of polio.  These organizations include the YMCA, Rotary International, El Segundo Educational Foundations, Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth League Baseball, Jaycees, El Segundo High School Alumni Association, United Methodist Church, Sister City Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Planning Commissioner, Councilman and Mayor for the City of El Segundo. "Throughout my career, my one constant source of guidance and support has been my wonderful wife Helen, who throughout our 50 years of marriage has also given generously of her time and talents in service to others, and my children Bill and Laura.  I share this honor with them."
