Active in California Scholarship Federation; member of Omnibus, Junior Class Play, American Field Service (AFS representative
to Germany); National Merit Scholar.
Attended Occidental College (1965) and received bachelor of Arts Degree in English with
Honors - Phi Beta Kappa; Woodrow Wilson Fellow; received Master of Arts Degree in English at Brandeis University in 1966.
Taught at Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama; Lecturer and Curriculum Specialist at University of Washington; Artist
in Residence Seattle Arts Commission; Poet of the Northwest; has published six books of poems. Currently a curriculum
specialist, writer, and poet.
